Parent Listening Session: Join the Conversation on Positive Peer Programming
Huron City Schools is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for every student. As part of that commitment, we're inviting parents to share their perspectives at a special listening session focused on Positive Peer Programming.
This conversation-based evening will give parents the opportunity to discuss three key areas with district and school leaders:
- Ways schools currently support positive peer interactions - What's working well, and what programs or approaches you've noticed making a difference
- Gaps or areas needing additional attention - Where you see opportunities for growth or support
- Ways parents can support the schools' work - How we can partner together to reinforce positive relationships among students
When: Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 6:30 PM
Where: McCormick Middle School Cafeteria
Free Childcare Available
We want to make it easier for families to attend. Huron High School National Honor Society student volunteers will provide supervised childcare for K-5th-grade students in the McCormick band room during the session.
Students are encouraged to bring homework, a book, or a quiet activity to work on with their high school supervisors.
Registration required: Space is limited, so please register your child in advance to help us properly plan for student volunteers. Register here
Please note: Childcare is available for school-age students in grades K-5 only.
Why Your Input Matters
Parent perspective is essential to creating a school environment where all students feel connected, supported, and able to build healthy relationships with their peers. This listening session is an opportunity for honest, productive conversation about what's working, what needs attention, and how we can work together.
District and school leaders look forward to hearing from you on this important topic. Your voice helps shape the programs, policies, and practices that support our students every day.
