Where Learning Begins and Futures Take Root

At Woodlands Elementary, we believe the early years set the tone for a lifetime of learning. Our staff partners closely with families to create a nurturing, student-centered environment where curiosity, confidence, and foundational skills grow every day. From PreK through 5th grade, students experience hands-on learning, innovative instruction, and strong academic support — all while building the character, friendships, and resilience that will carry them forward. As part of Huron City Schools, Woodlands Elementary is proud to foster academic excellence and a love for learning in a safe, inclusive, and supportive community.

Message from the Principal

Mr Kucbel, Woodlands Principal

Welcome to Woodlands Elementary! I’m proud to serve as the principal of a school filled with energy, curiosity, and a shared commitment to student success. At Woodlands, our mission is simple: to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where every student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

We believe in strong partnerships with families, and we know that when we work together—parents, teachers, and the community—great things happen for kids. Our dedicated staff works hard to meet each child where they are and challenge them to become their best selves, both in and out of the classroom.

Whether it’s hands-on learning in the classroom, participating in one of our school traditions, or finding joy in everyday moments, we want our students to feel seen, supported, and inspired.

Thank you for being part of our Woodlands community. Let’s continue working together to make this school year meaningful and memorable for all of our students.

Warm regards,
Mr. Brian Kucbel
