About Our District
Huron City Schools is dedicated to inspiring and empowering every student to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Serving the Huron, Ohio community, the district is committed to providing a high-quality, student-centered education in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that prepares all learners for lifelong success.
The district is comprised of three primary school buildings: Woodlands Elementary School, McCormick Middle School, and Huron High School. Across all grade levels, Huron focuses on a purposeful curriculum rooted in state standards, enhanced by advanced academic opportunities like College Credit Plus (CCP) and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, as well as robust gifted and special education services.
Tiger pride runs deep through a wide array of extracurricular activities, fine arts, and competitive athletic programs within the Sandusky Bay Conference (SBC). Students seeking specialized, hands-on career training and technical education have the opportunity to attend the EHOVE Career Center, which partners with school districts throughout the region to prepare students for the modern workforce.
