Empowering Every Learner, Every Day

The Offices of Academic Affairs and Student Services brings together curriculum, instruction, special education, gifted services, and student support under one roof, because every student's path to success looks a little different, and our job is to meet them on it.

What We Oversee

Our offices facilitate the programs, resources, and staff supports that help every Huron student, from early learners through graduating seniors, access rigorous, relevant instruction and the individualized services they may need along the way.

  • Curriculum & Instruction: Aligning teaching practices to Ohio's Learning Standards, supporting educators with coaching and professional development, and guiding data-informed instruction.
  • Special Education: Ensuring every student with a disability receives a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), from Child Find through IEP services.
  • Gifted Education: Identifying and supporting advanced learners through screening, enrichment, and accelerated coursework.
  • Student Services: Coordinating 504 plans, McKinney-Vento supports, and connections to counseling and community resources.
  • Title I: Providing targeted academic support and family engagement for eligible students.
  • Learning Resources: Building-specific digital tools and platforms to support learning at school and at home.
